The National Disability Network, India's chapter of DPI recently submitted it's alternate report to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The report looks at child rights in India through the disability lens and aims to give an indepth understanding of the intersection of the UNCRPD and the UNCRC, when it comes to the rights of children with disabilities.

In lieu of the submission of the report, DPI-India was invited to a Pre-Sessional Working Group at Geneva at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to discuss the situation of child rights in India. DPI-India was represented by Kavya Mukhija, a 15 year old child with disability along with Radhika Alkazi, a senior activist and author of the report.
